A small selection of images from my last trip to Ethiopia. When it comes to photography, this country never disappoints. There is never a dull moment!
My highlight was the Walia Ibex. We set out to find this rare endangered antelope in the Simien Mountains and we were hugely rewarded. I would have been happy with a glimpse of a backside, but look at this stunning individual posing for me!
Another highlight was an early morning mass in Lalibela. Having been to Lalibela numerous times over the last 20 years, I've seen it change. For better or worse...who can say. Tuk-tuks have taken the place of horse-carts and houses with iron roofs fill up the mountain slopes, but when you are privileged enough to witness a church service in one of the rock-hewn churches, you feel nothing has changed and this is how it must have been for hundreds of years.
